COVID-19 has certainly made 2020 challenging so far hasn’t it?!

Life is like a revolving door with everyday being a whole new World!  We have the constant rear of Coronavirus infection at the same time we’re dealing with changes to where and how we work.

We’ve suddenly all become teachers! Kids’ home based schooling has been a steep learning curve for everyone.

Social distancing and non-essential travel has separated us from many of the people we’re used to seeing everyday.

And everyday tasks like grocery shopping and meal preparation are no longer the straightforward exercise they used to be.

With the lockdown restrictions starting to ease there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. But will life ever be back to what we used to consider “normal”?

In our short survey we are interested in finding out how COVID-19 and the lockdowns may have changed your grocery shopping attitudes and routines.  We’re also wondering if the changing supermarket landscape (and the fact we’re all at home for almost EVERY meal) have changed the way you plan and prepare your meals.

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete.

  • I have definitely changed how I shop since COVID and I think it’s a good thing. I now meal plan and shop to that, ordering once a week. Just one small step towards the elusive “being organised” that I dream about.

  • Old saying was, penny for your thoughts! How times have changed. I’ve been buying foods that have a long shelf life, like pastas and long life milks, bottled water. Just never know any more.

  • Same as usual, shop for fresh foods, cook at home, and enjoy.

  • It’s interesting to see post covid for us in qld, my shopping didn’t change at all. We stockpile essentials when in special, so we’re lucky with toilet paper at the time ????

  • Challenging, yes, but we’ve learned to adapt as difficult as it is. We’ll all pull through this

  • Not much has changed for me.

  • I am now shopping for three families, (all in the same estate). My parents and grandparents all all high risk, so each week I ask for their shopping lists. Of course between three families things are forgotten and I am ending up at the shops almost everyday. It’s exhausting but no way around it at the moment. Looking forward to when everyone can shop for themselves!

  • I still get about the same amount of groceries as before COVID.

  • My shopping habits haven’t changed much. I always liked to have a stockpile when things were on special. If anything I had to shop more often because things I was shopping for were constantly not available.

  • The only big change I have made has been purchasing more online.
