  • Great tips although I love physical books and if im travelling great distances then I always take about 5 books with me. I will never get out of this habit.

  • I also wrap my valuables inside the pockets of clothing, and fold around mini laptop that I didn’t want to hand carry with thick jacket works for me too.

  • One thing I do is pack some easy to cook food like noodles (just add boiling water). When I’m away I save on buying dinner for a few nights and it creates space to pack my souvenirs into.

  • On our recent trip/cruise, my husband raised the packing issue of rolling clothes. I had never heard of it before but I definitely tried it. I also like to put my make-up/toiletry bag in the middle of the case so it’s protected by the clothing from all angles.

  • Wow. Packing = revolutionised.
I make sure I lay everything out first to know what I’m putting in. Small pencil case is good for hair items and Bobby pins. I also pack plastic bags to store dirty clothes and separate from any clean leftovers.

  • Great tips here! Rolling clothes not only saves space but also ensures your clothes are less creased on arrival. Pack small items like socks, bras, knickers, into other items, i.e. shoes and handbags. Pack small/fragile items in between clothing and/or towels to protect them. Pad high heel shoes in towel/t-shirts to protect their heels.
