Welcome to Day 5 of 21 days of mindfulness for mums with Leonie Percy, author of the award winning book Mother Om.

Over the past few days you have learnt:

  • How to manage motherhood using mindfulness
  • How to cultivate more joy and let go of guilt
  • How to practice gratitude as a family
  • How to mother from your heart space
  • How to practice more compassion

Did you try the sleepy time meditation? I would love to hear how it made you feel. It is often the highlight of my day.

For the next few days I will teach you how to manage stress and why you need to learn how to relax. Today you will learn the power of your breath and why it is your saving grace. Watch the video lecture and then watch the teaching video of me demonstrating how to breathe using a breath ball and a feather. I taught kids yoga for many years and this is how I would teach kids to breath.

Here’s a tutorial on how to breath deeply. Your kids will love this.
