Coconuts are more than just Tom Hank’s main meal, and it turns out that their oil can be used for a multitude of different things. Here are 4 ways you can make yourself the most beautiful mum using coconut oil.

1. Soothe and moisturise your skin

Do you suffer from scaly, dry or itchy skin? Look no further than coconut oil. The creamy oil is a perfect moisturiser if you are in the market for something light. To achieve the best results, pat dry your skin after you get out of the shower, making sure that there is a thin layer of water still on your skin. Apply the oil liberally to trap the water against your skin, keeping your skin cool and looking beautiful.

2. Keep your winter frizz under control

Winter can be an especially hard time of the year for your hair, with the cold air and biting winds sucking the life out of your hair. This can lead to frizziness, which is something that we all want to avoid. In order to fight the winter frizz, grab a little more than a pea size and warm it up by rubbing your hands together. This enables the oil to stick to your hair and not clump up. Once it is warm and spread throughout your hands, run the oil from the base of your hair all the way to the tips.

3. Fight dry cracked lips

Not only does Winter cause frizz, but it also dries out your lips. Having dried lips can be a hassle, not to mention unsightly. To counter this annoying problem, simply spread a small amount of coconut oil over your lips in order to fend off the winter winds.

4. Face Exfoliator

To use coconut oil as a simple exfoliator, add half a cup of coconut oil to two tablespoons of brown sugar and apply to your skin gently in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water.

I recently red it’s good for dogs who suffer from weeping eyes, add a tsp a day to their food and it’s supposed to reduce the tear stains
