Do you have a niggling feeling that you’re pregnant? Are you super eager to find out but can’t take the test just yet? Here are 5 early signs that you might have a little bundle of joy on the way.

Of course, the only way to confirm that you’re pregnant is by taking a test and no two women are the same, though here are 5 little signs of early pregnancy that may clue you in to a little one on it’s way.

1. Breast Changes

Due to the rapid increase of hormones during pregnancy, expectant mums often feel like their breasts are swollen and slightly sore, tingly or tender to touch. Bear in mind that other things could cause these feelings, like menstruation, but it’s one of the early pregnancy signs to watch for.

2. Fatigue

Most pregnant women experience extreme tiredness in their first trimester. This feeling can come on as soon as one week post conception.

3. Nausea

One of the most widely reported pregnancy symptoms is nausea and vomiting. Whilst not all expectant mummas experience this symptom, those that do (and even more so when the woman suffers hyperemesis gravidarum) often report they feel nausea begin from 2 weeks post conception.

4. Cramps

Cramps and spotting could be considered the earliest sign of conception. Spotting and cramping may occur when a fertilised egg attaches itself to the uterus wall, it’s called implantation bleeding and can happen anywhere from 6-12 days after fertilisation. Some pregnant mums don’t notice this symptom at all and others say they know the day their fertilised egg attached itself. This symptom is easily missed and could also be a sign of menstruation.

5. Frequent Urination

That sudden and frequent urge to pee could be another sign of early pregnancy. It also could signal an infection, so always best to check this one out with your doctor!

Besides taking a test, the biggest sign of pregnancy is a missed period. Always be sure to consult your doctor if you feel you are pregnant!
