Sure, children’s movies are made for kids, but quite often adults are the ones who gain the most enjoyment. Mainly because other adults, i.e. the ones creating these films, put in a few hidden jokes that go right over kids heads to be picked up by keen adult ears.

Here are 10 of the funniest adult jokes hidden in kids movies.

1. When Lightening McQueen gets flashed

2. My eyes are down here – Minions

3. Sugar, Honey, Iced, Tea – Madagascar

4. “I thought you were female” – Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

5. Bunnies are really good at multiplying – Zootopia

  • Adults usually watch childrens movies with their kids the first time they see them regardless of whether they are cinema ones, TV or DVD/Blu ray.
We took 2 little ones with us one night. The first one was Minnie Mouse. The 12 month old laughed almost from the minute it started ….all the way through it. That night Frozen had just started. He was sitting /lying on his Dad (supposed to be going to sleep). Next thing we knew he was “jigging” to the music. When he was about 2 1/2 he “fell in love” with Anna according to his older sister. They bought the DVD and watched it many times. Master 2 1/2 always sung Anna’s songs.

  • ALways good to keep the parents entertained too!

    • It is the way to get some adults to the movies; include jokes for the adults. It is quite a smart strategy by the film companies to appeal to grown up humour.
