Seriously the best advice my dad ever gave me was “if you don’t have the money for it right now, save for it or weigh up whether you actually need it”, borrowed money does not make it yours.

I have to watch every penny I spend since I’m no longer able to work and don’t receive any benefits. I try to save where I can and if I don’t need something then I won’t buy it.

I think a lot of this is common sense or common knowledge but then again other things I’ve learnt were thought of as common sense so we all learn something new each day.
