Hello!

Well it’s official – the Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy!

You can imagine it’s all happening in London with the streets outside St. Mary’s in Paddington filled with press and royal well wishers.

According to a statement released by Kensington Palace, the baby boy was born at 16.24 BST weighing 8lb 6oz.

As all modern dads do, the Duke of Cambridge was by Kate’s side to welcome their baby boy.  Mum and bub are “doing well” and will stay in hospital overnight.

The news is due to be displayed on an ornate easel in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace in line with tradition.

A bulletin, signed by key medical staff, has been taken by a royal aide from St Mary’s to the palace under police escort.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” it said.

Congratulations to the new Mum & Dad and welcome little Prince.

What do you think he’ll be called?
