Three of the couple’s children, Sienna, 8, Angelina, 12, and Antony, 13, were killed in a horror crash alongside cousin Veronique Sakr, 11, when they were hit by a ute while walking on the footpath to get ice-cream at Oatlands on February 1, 2020.

In March 2022, the couple welcomed a baby daughter, which they named Selina in honour of her siblings.

Leila and Danny Abdallah shared a touching photo on Instagram at the time, writing, ‘The Abdallah family are proud to announce the birth of our 7th child into our family. Baby Abdallah Born 18th March 2022 at 7:40am, her weight is 3.3 kg and her height is 51cm. Our little girl is in good health.

“Antony, Angelina, and Sienna in heaven, Liana, Alex and Micheal with us. God has answered our prayers The Lord gives and the Lord takes blessed be the name of the Lord.”

They also shared a video of their children Liana, Alex and Michael meeting their little sister, and revealing they wanted to name her in honour of her sisters.

“She’s beautiful, so tiny, can we please call her Selina, it’s a mix of Sienna and Angelina? I love her so much,” said Liana.

The two new additions join Leila and Danny’s other children Michael, Liana and Alex. When Leila announced her pregnancy with Selina, she said they’d been ‘praying’ for a sibling.

“My children prayed they could have another brother or sister,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

Leila was chosen as the 2021 Mother Of The Year, with the incredible couple launching i4Give Day, in remembrance of their children and as a national day of forgiveness.
