Aldi is releasing a padded winter onesie this weekend and it’s guaranteed to fly off the shelves!

We love a versatile winter clothing piece and Aldi’s latest creation doesn’t disappoint. The supermarket chain has announced a sleeping bag onesie that is the perfect blend of comfort and style. While the padded bodysuit is ideal for fans of camping, we think it could have an even better use for mums and dads standing for hours on the sidelines of Saturday sport…

Brilliant or Bizarre?

Featuring an elasticated waistband and removable foot covers, the onesie is incredibly adaptable. It can be worn casually for at home lounging or dressed up with shoes for its public debut. Parents have shared their excitement about the newest addition to Aldi’s range saying that the onesie will be an essential part of their winter wardrobe. “I would happily embarrass my son by wearing this whilst cheering for him in footy this year,” one dad wrote. “Nothing like a mum and dad on the sideline cheering loudly to make your kid pretend he doesn’t know you.” “OMG no need for a dressing gown!” an excited mum said. “We need one of these instead!”

A Perfect Fit

The onesie comes in small, medium and large sizes, retailing for $69.99 each. There are also four vibrant colours to choose from but Aldi warns customers that stocks are extremely limited.

The onesie was released in stores around the country today so we suggest heading to your nearest Aldi immediately – they won’t last long!

Omg I think they’re a fantastic idea, the only downside would be washing them, I may have to take them to our local laundry mat and use the big washing machines.

  • Oh my, I would love to see someone wearing this in public. I’m not sure I’d have the guts to. Unless I was riddled with a flu and felt so horrible I didn’t care what anyone thought.

  • It looks a bit funny but also really cosy, a clever idea.

  • Don’t do it they’re terrible! Hubby bought one of these from Aldi a couple years ago. Not warm enough and quality is really bad they have non slip circles on feet which shed all through the tent – took so long to get rid of them!
