An Allergy Alert has been issued by Cadbury concerning a change to the Cadbury Creme Egg range.

Cadbury would like to advise consumers of different allergens within its Cadbury Creme Egg range.

Some of the Cadbury Creme Egg range contain egg/wheat/soy while others within the same range do not.

The 39g creme egg contains: Milk, wheat, glucose syrup, soy and egg.
May also contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.

The 130g creme egg minis contains: Milk and soy
May also contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.

The 234g creme egg bag contains: Milk, wheat, glucose syrup, soy and egg.
May also contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.

The 180g Cadbury dairy milk packed with creme egg block contains: Milk and soy
May also contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.

To help alert consumers of the different allergens within the Creme Egg range this year, Cadbury has produced a sticker listing allergens for its Creme Egg point-of-sale display towers, and these should be seen in store however, you still need to read the ingredient list of all products purchased as products can be moved around the store.

Cadbury always encourages consumers to read labels carefully every time you purchase the product. Do not presume a product is safe because you have eaten it before – always check ingredients.

  • Creme eggs are my absolute fave. I’m glad I don’t have allergies to nuts!
I think most things are packed with nuts so it’s good that companies are socially responsible and issue these types of warnings.

  • Life must be so tough if you have an allergy or if you have a child with an allergy. So many things to beware of

  • Good to know. I think if my kids had allergies I’d stay clear of the entire range just to be sure.

  • Thanks for keeping us posted. I’m sad to say I used to be able to eat Cadbury Creme eggs but now they contain Wheat, they are off the menu for me. Unfortunately I’m allergic to wheat. Why on earth did they change the recipe??

  • I think when people have an allergy they tend to read the labels before consuming.

  • I hope the shops put this warning up so people can read it. It’s great Cadbury’s are putting this warning up to let us know that some ingredients may have changed since last year.

  • We make our own raw chocolates or I buy sometimes at the health food store

  • I do often wonder what is in them and what ingredients they change and adjust to lower costs

  • I stay away from commercial Easter products as it gets to hard trying to figure whats in them. We make ours at home and then i can control what goes into them and know they are safe for my children to eat.
