Hello!

Oh wow, we just can’t believe that Andy Wilkinson, this smouldering, super-fit hottie, with the most chiselled six-pack, is a grandad to seven kids.

Andy Wilkinson has set the internet on fire, after it was revealed that he is actually 56 years old, even though he looks at least 20 years younger.

Mistaken For Daughter’s Boyfriend

The personal fitness trainer from Coventry in the UK, is often approached by women years younger than him. He’s even been mistaken for his daughter’s boyfriend, as reported in the Daily Mail.

“If I’m on holiday with my six-pack out, I get approached by ladies in their thirties and I’ve been mistaken for my daughter’s partner rather than her father on occasion, which is embarrassing,” Andy said.

“My friends also think it’s hilarious when we go out to shock people with the fact that I’m a grandfather of seven.”

Secrets To His Youthful Looks

Super-fit Andy attributes his youthful looks to a healthy, stress-free lifestyle.

“I am still in amazing shape due to a great diet and a strong core,” Andy shares on his website.

His age-defying secrets include:

  • sleeping in a blacked-out room,
  • working out no more than three times per week,
  • reducing carbohydrates as you get older and
  • de-stressing your life and reminding yourself that ‘everything will be OK’.

Stop Stressing!

“A lot of people in their twenties and thirties message me on Instagram to tell me they aspire to have my body at their age, which is very flattering,” Andy said.

“Genetics help but there is really no secret besides hard work and diet. Stress is massively ageing as well, so I try to not get myself worked up about anything.”

“I have a personal mantra, which is ‘Everything will be OK’, and that keeps me calm and carries me through.”

Andy made a dramatic career change five years ago when we gave up his job at Jaguar Land Rover and became a full-time personal trainer though his online website.

“For all of my clients, I not only provide an online training plan that will help you improve your fitness, I will also provide a diet and nutrition plan along with some workout videos o get your journey started, helping you improve both your fitness and wellbeing,” Andy explains.

Eating Tips

Andy also shares some of his nutrition tips:

“I realised there was no need to have protein shakes, bars or supplements to get that beach body look. It was about eating healthy foods, portion control and cutting down on carbs as you age.

“The older you get, you don’t need as much carbs or food as you think you need. Now I’ll stick to a few tablespoons of rice and half a sweet potato as my carbohydrate and I focus on eating less carbs at night.

“I also drink plenty of water too – you can put all the creams in the world on your face but water is what matters most when it comes to good skin. And I might occasionally have the odd glass of red wine, but I don’t drink much alcohol otherwise.”

Workout Advice

Andy also surprisingly says that he doesn’t live at the gym.

“I generally weight train three times per week for no more than an hour, and I might enjoy a game of tennis or racquetball with a friend too but that it’s it really.

“I find people sometimes train too much and get injured or don’t see the results they want. The body needs time to repair and recover afterwards and I make sure to have at least a day’s rest between workouts.

“I think rest and sleep are huge contributing factors to why I look so young too. I don’t eat late, I’m always in bed before midnight and I sleep in a totally blacked-out room with no phone. It really works for me in terms of getting a good night’s sleep.”

“I’m living proof that you can still be fit and toned in your fifties and I hope I can motivate and inspire people. I feel very lucky to do what I do as a personal trainer and it’s my passion to help others.”

Sadly, ladies, Andy is not single and is currently in a relationship with a 51-year old woman.

  • Good for him.
    It certainly takes dedication

  • Hello, I’m 62, and I believe in many respects I’m currently in the best physical shape of my life, despite having been a fitness enthusiast for most of my adult life.

  • being fit always keeps you in a positive frame of mind and body younger

  • I’m sure he has great genes as well. At 56 I looked pretty good as well and in fact at 75 I still look pretty good – my weight is 57k for a 154c height and I can still do high-kicks much to the dismay of my husband who is worried I will fall over. If you keep doing what you always did, there is no problem – but the trick is to never overeat and sit around all day in my opinion. BTW I still walk a kilometre every day and my pedometer says I am taking 25000 steps a day

  • Good information to know. Just think, he didn’t need to go to the gym everyday and no use of steroids to get that body.
