Clamp down on anti-vaxxers with new laws to be introduced banning unvaccinated children being enrolled in schools.

The Victorian governments No Jab No Play rules currently can be avoided with a note from a doctor, but under new legislation they will have to provide proof of a serious medical condition to enroll unvaccinated, reports Daily Mail.

‘The science is crystal clear, vaccinations are safe and save lives,’┬áVictoria’s health minister Jill Hennessy said.

Under the new laws, parents will not even be able to place children in childcare centres if they are unvaccinated, unless they have a significant medical reason not to be immunised.

‘People who tout misinformation about immunisation are a menace and put the health and safety of children at risk,’ Ms Hennessy said.

‘That’s why we want as many children as possible immunised and protected from life-threatening illnesses.’

  • I completely agree. Does anyone want a measles or chicken pox epidemic? Parents who refuse to vaccinate should be made to watch and listen to a baby with whooping cough. It was one of the most distressing things I’ve seen.

  • Good!! Make it as tough as possible. If the parents are that ignorant then the kids will need the superior education a private school will give.
