Are These Pants Your Bum’s New Best Friend?

Finally, a pair of pants that achieve style without compromising on comfort!

Becoming a mum is a major and rewarding life experience. However, lots can change! Things that were once important to you seem much less significant, you’re a million times busier than you ever were before and your style changes with your new body.

When it comes to your fashion choices as a mum, oftentimes the most important thing is comfort – but that does not mean you need to compromise great style. Freddy, an Italian designed brand that originated in Milan over 40 years ago, has now crossed over to Australia to give women the mummy uniform of their dreams.

The range features an iconic patented butt design that lifts and shapes the booty. Unlike the generic jean design, these pants boast strategic stitching and stretchy fabric for ultimate comfort and style while you are running around after your little ones. Whether you have become curvier or you are now rocking a mummy tummy – Freddy has the perfect pair of pants for mums no matter their body shape.

Noni Azzopardi, Freddy’s Head of Retail and Customer Happiness, has provided some valuable styling tips, below, to help women achieve their ultimate pant style without comprising on comfort:

Thin and Petite

High-waist jeans are a favourite of mine for the petite lady, for many good reasons, including their ability to make you look longer and taller. For shorter ladies, this is a major positive. The higher waist gives the illusion of longer legs and shows a shorter torso in comparison. Do those legs go all the way up? No, but my Freddy High Waist Full Length WR.UP Denim makes them look like they do.

My other hot styling tip for petite ladies is donning vertical stripes, which will keep the eye running up and down, making it look like you have legs for days.

Pear Shape

Our pear shape ladies are in luck when it comes to the Freddy mid-rise collection. A mid-rise style of pant will balance out your usually bottom-heavy body by creating a continuing line without any squeezing. Opting for a dark colour will also flatter the body even more and Freddy’s patented bum design will make your behind look fantastic. Freddy’s Mid Waist Full Length WR.UP Denim are perfect for pear shape ladies, or alternatively they can go for Freddy’s Mid Waist Full Length WR.UP Faux Leather in Black for an edgier look.

Pear shaped ladies should also avoid wearing tops that cut them off at the middle, as this will only emphasise the size difference between the top and bottom. Long camisoles, lengthy t-shirts and long flowy blouses are ideal to help evenly proportion the body.

Tall and Athletic

Whilst most of us shy away from a low-rise jean, anyone with a tall, leggy and/or athletic build will benefit from pants that sit low on the waistline. If you have slim hips, then go ahead and highlight this fabulous asset ladies! Having the pant cling to this part of the body will help make your long body proportions look fantastic. The ideal low-waist option for leggy ladies is Freddy’s Low Waist Full Length WR.UP Denim.

Tall women should not only avoid high-waist jeans, but also dresses and skirts that sit at a high point on the body as this can make the body proportions look out of whack. However, definitely think about wearing jumpsuits, as they are always stunning on ladies with length.

  • These pockets look a little odd, don’t think I’ll be racking out to get them

  • You are not supposed to wear tight pants, especially jeans. Many women get urinary tract infections the tight fitting fabric doesn’t allow flow of air

  • If I had an awesome butt worthy of being showed off, I might consider it. It would take some convincing to get me to pay this much for pants though

  • Ha. I’d never pay that much for jeans! I get my Lee Riders at the op shops and they’re working just fine!
