This is the softest play dough you’ll ever make and the best bit – no cooking on the stove.

  • 1/2 cup shaving cream
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 2 drops food colouring

  1. Mix together equal parts shaving cream and corn starch in a bowl.
  2. Roll out on to a clean board then knead it until it starts to form dough.
  3. Add a few drops of food colouring to colour it, then knead some more.

Notes... Add more cornflour if the mixture is too wet. Add more shaving cream if the mixture is too dry.

  • It looks soft & fluffy, the kids would have a ball with this stuff.

  • Thanks for the recipe for this play dough – looks so light and fluffy – like fairy floss!

  • With shaving cream? That’s so different and special! Does it keep for a long time then?

    • You need to store it in an air tight container. It lasts for a few weeks but you can always retop it up with extra shaving cream if it dries out.

      • Thanks for the extra tips for the play dough!

      • Always useful to know as school holidays approach!
