A lovely way to encourage native birds to your garden!

Material

  • 1 Coconut
  • 1 Hacksaw
  • 1 Hammer
  • 1 Piece of wire

Method

  1. Husk your coconut and prick the 'eye' to drain the milk.
  2. using the hacksaw slice halfway down from the top and halfway across from the middle.
  3. Remove the coconut flesh or you can let it dry out and remove it later. Tie the wire through the 'eye' , fill with seed and you have a efficient bird feeder!

Notes

This will last quite a long time. Coconuts are a strong and versatile material, suitable for a number of uses
