Australian aboriginal culture is very artistic, with no written language this was how stories were told and how knowledge was passed on.

Material

  • 1 A4 art card
  • 1 black nikko pen
  • 4 cotton buds
  • 4 acrylic poster paints

Method

  1. On your A4 card draw a boomerang (or google a printable)
  2. Get the kids to use the cotton buds to dot paint patterns on the boomerang, you can use any colours you have handy.
  3. When finished you can cut it out or hang it as is

Notes

Traditionally the paints used were made from ground ocher, a natural earth pigment.
