Dancers Leg Warmers.


Material

  • 2 x 4 - 1/2 MM Knitting Needles
  • 2 x 100g wool, depending on desired length
  • 1 Large sewing needle.

Method

  1. Cast on 48 stitches.
    This is an average child of 7 to 8 years. Size will vary depending on age and height etc of child.
  2. Knit 1 Pearl 1. Continue until 7cm long
  3. Knit 1 Row, Pearl one Row. Continue until 22cm long.
    Depending on desired Length.
  4. Knit 1, Pearl 1. Continue until 7cm long.
  5. Cast off.
    Once you have reached desired length.
  6. Sew together and there u have a leg warmer.
    Repeat steps 1 - 3 again to make second leg warmer

  • This is brilliant! My daughter’s dance teacher keeps suggesting that one of the mum’s should knit leg warmers for all the kids. What a great pattern!

  • This is so 80s! Brings back memories. I saw a craft project not long ago that used sleeves from old jumpers used as leg warmers. Just cut them off and sew them up so they don’t fray. Not a bad idea

  • Awesome! I have one pair but they were expensive ( lovely though!) and I’ve always wanted to get into knitting. The instructions don’t make much sense so it sounds hard, but I’m going to make these a goal! Thanks for sharing:D
