Dancers Leg Warmers.


  • 2 x 4 - 1/2 MM Knitting Needles
  • 2 x 100g wool, depending on desired length
  • 1 Large sewing needle.


  1. Cast on 48 stitches.
    This is an average child of 7 to 8 years. Size will vary depending on age and height etc of child.
  2. Knit 1 Pearl 1. Continue until 7cm long
  3. Knit 1 Row, Pearl one Row. Continue until 22cm long.
    Depending on desired Length.
  4. Knit 1, Pearl 1. Continue until 7cm long.
  5. Cast off.
    Once you have reached desired length.
  6. Sew together and there u have a leg warmer.
    Repeat steps 1 - 3 again to make second leg warmer

  • yeah the leg warmers were great; it would be great for them to come back in fashion. I dont know if my daughter would wear them, but i loved them


  • Woo hoo!! I remember wearing these in the 80s!! Great little invention!


  • I can’t sit and watch t.v. without doing something with my hands. So when my arthritis isn’t too bad, I often knit or crochet things, like dog jackets & blankets. I shall get cracking & make some of these leg warmers, as I have a friend who takes a dance class for little girls. I’m sure these leg-warmers would be most welcome.
