Material

  • 3 large wine glasses
  • 3 bags coloured stones
  • 3 gold fish
  • 3 plants

Method

  1. I received a few large wine glasses for my 21th and 30th birthday. They were way to big to drink out of and i wanted to keep them because they were given to me by someone special.
  2. So we decided to turn them in to fish tanks they look so effective and my kids both love this idea.
  3. Try getting different colour stones this add to the effect.

Notes

Your kids will love this idea

  • A lovely idea for brightening up the room

  • They look stunning, but not the best to keep fish in. Way too small to keep fish healthy and happy

    • I’ve recently read an article about a big pet store chain overseas banning the sale of small tanks in their stores as they are not fit for any fish to live a happy life. I would definitely reconsider using a wine glass for a fish tank. Sorry to sound harsh, but please consult your local pet store or vet for advice on responsible pet ownership.

  • Great for Siamis fighting fish but maybe not for gold fish?

    Reply

  • That’s a great way to use something that would normally be packed away out of sight as it’s wasn’t practical for use. Think I may do something similar and re introduce the fighting fish into the house, if I remember right they did not need a lot of swimming space.
