Material

  • 1 50 ml balist stone
  • 1 3 meter black plastic

Method

  1. I wanted to share this great idea my hubby and I made in the backyard. We decided to try to make our own creek bed.
  2. Just dip the creek to the size you like. Then put black plastic down in to the hole.We used 50ml balist stone. For the stones. You can then fill it with water.
  3. Because our kids are young we have not yet filled it with water. You can also buy little bridges from cheap as chips that look effective.

Make your own exciting creek

  • Great idea although we can’t do this at our house. Would drive into it all the time.

  • I just bought a place with a creek. Has a bridge over it that joins the two houses. Does not look great yet but the kids and I are rebuilding it. It is also the storm water drain so I’ll throw in some blue stone and pretend it has water when not raining.

  • This is such a great idea. Not sure it would suit our yard tho as we tend to get heavy downpours. Don’t want to encourage flooding

    • No that won’t be very good if it flooded

  • This is a really cool idea! Wish I had the type of garden where something like this was possible.

  • We moved in to a new house last year and over the rainy season we noticed when it rains heavily we has a torrent through part of the backyard – perhaps we can use this idea as a drainage system.
