Gardening for children is fun and rewarding and very easy.

Material

  • Little pots Possibly do outdoors.
  • Soil Water

Method

  1. Put gloves on to put soil in containers.
  2. Seeds of grass or a flower. To put into soil.
  3. Water and wait. It’s always exciting seeing a seedling sprout through. Accomplishment and reward. This can lead to the garden with vegetables and flowers. A small container and seed is a great place to start.

Notes

Few days for results.

  • Nature sure is fun! And there’s so much learning to be done too. My grandson adores getting out in the garden planting and digging and raking. He gets so excited when he gets to pick fruit and veg from the garden and then eat it

  • Those pots are so cute! I’ve done grass heads with my kids before but the dog kept running off with the stockings and spreading the seeds all over the garden. But pots would be a better idea

  • Its good to plant different things that each take a different amount of time to sprout so that there is always something happening rather than a long waiting game. So fabulous to get kids out in nature and not be afraid to get a bit dirty. The feeling of dirt and mud on the hands is a wonderful sensory experience.
