A very cute hair do which takes a few minutes to do. If your child has thicker hair, consider taking finer strands of hair to secure as thick hair tends to be heavy and pulls out the bow.

Material

  • Hairspray.

Method

  1. Section off two strands of hair at each temple.
  2. Spritz with hairspray, then tie together as you would a shoelace.
  3. You may need to fix it with a bobby pin through the centre initially to get the bow to keep. Once secured, remove the bobby pin (or you can leave it in).

  • First thing I looked for in the list of things needed for this hairstyle was hairspray. Lol. Looks like it would need a fair bit of hold

  • It sometimes works better to have hair that is not freshly washed so it’s not so slippery for this hair style

  • We did this hairstyle and it was great for a special occasion!

  • It does look good, but I’m wondering how it would look at the end of the school day. Not sure hairspray is enough for long term hold

    • Probably best for a party or special event rather than school for that very reason

  • I was wondering how this would be held in place. Then I saw hair spray. Not too keen on hairspray, looks lovely though

    • You could do this sans hairspray but I would do it the day before the child’s hair was due to be washed. The natural oils would help it stay in place better.
