Ashton Kutcher welcomed his first child with fiancee Mila Kunis in October last year.

And now, the notoriously private star has opened up about fatherhood while attending the Tech My Way conference in Sydney.

Ashton revealed to Kyle & Jackie O this morning that being Dad to daughter Wyatt Isabelle is “Epic.”

“It’s the greatest privilege life has to offer,” he continued.”I can’t- I have no words.”

The star also explained how becoming a Dad made him appreciate the love of his own parents even more.

“The first thing I did when she was born was, I called my parents and I apologised because I realised how much they care.”

“I don’t think you know that until you have a kid. It’s magnificent.”

Ashton was spotted swimming at Bondi Beach during his visit, and revealed that he bought a matching pair of swimmers for baby Wyatt.

“When I bought these amazing short-shorts, I picked up a onesie for the kid. I actually got her a matching pair, believe it or not.”

  • I appreciated how tough financially, physically and mentally it must have been for my parents to raise 5 children…..I always question mum on how she did it!

  • yep maturity and experience are important

  • I think so. I have an only child and I can’t imagine how my Mum raised four children. It was obviously a different time when Mums more than likely didn’t work, or gave up their careers once they had children. We’re not comparing apples with apples, but I often wonder how she managed to get all four of us to our different sports and activities, and how she could afford them.

  • I think maturity makes you appreciate your own parents more. For some it takes having a kid to become more mature!

  • Oh definitely, I think when you are a parent yourself you appreciate all your parent’s did for you. This goes un-noticed as a kid.

  • I suppose it does make me appreciate my parents and how much they have given up to be able to support me and make sure I had a great childhood.
