In what is becoming an almost daily event, a further 18 Queensland schools and one kindergarten have been evacuated after receiving new bomb threats this morning.
The Department of Education and Training this morning confirmed schools across Queensland received similar calls.
“A number of Queensland state schools today received calls of a threatening nature,” a DETE spokesperson said. “All of these schools immediately contacted police and have enacted emergency procedures based on police advice. “The Department is working with police to ensure all students and staff are safe.”
Authorities investigated the risk while schools were placed into lockdown today.
A DETE spokesperson said the calls were similar to a series of threats made to schools, both interstate and overseas. The list of affected schools today include:

North Coast

Roma State College (Middle School campus)
Brisbane Metropolitan
Albany Creek State High School
Bracken Ridge State High School
Bremer State High School
Bulimba State School
Payne Road State School
South East
Beenleigh State High School
Coombabah State School
