  • It’s hard to believe that there could be so many sick minded people out there! What’s happening?!

  • Getting so over all this nonsense. People just must use some common sense.

  • This is getting ridiculous. Why are people so disturbing

  • How sick are these people who are putting nails and needles into fruit. I hope they get caught soon. How many innocent people are going to be harmed before this is stopped?

  • This is getting ridiculous! I get that an ex-employee was trying to lash out at the employer, but seriously, did they consider the lives of the people who might get hurt?

  • This is so concerning that there is someone, or a group of people, who would do this. Check all your fruit, but we need to keep buying them, not throwing them out.

  • This is getting really sinister. What in the world is going on ?

  • This makes me so angry ! If anyone is caught having committed these stupid acts, then I hope that they get more than a fine and a slap on the wrists. The ramifications of this is huge.

  • Honestly, I don’t know what to say….?
I think I may start giving my toddler chocolate and lollies as a snack now – seems to be healthier than fruit!

  • I am wondering if it could be an employee at a Produce Market or Markets from which supermarkets purchase their fruit and vegetables. The apples may have come from SA, especially those sold in Murray Bridge. Woolworths isn’t the only supermarket that has been affected by the recent fruit problems. So far there has strawberries, bananas and apples. One incident with bananas has been accounted for.

  • This is getting ridiculous! We already have so much to be concerned about..now even fruit…appalling!!

    • Sadly there are reported copy cat acts too. :(

  • I think that maybe this is not from a disgruntled employee as first suggested with the supermarkets, it is more like an ISIS attack of some sort, this is extreme sabotage aimed to hurt people. We need more security cameras where food is sold, then it will be obvious who is to blame.

  • I really hope they figure this out soon.

  • Just awful to do this to fruit or any food.
