Hello!

BridgeClimb Sydney is back!!! And if you and the kids have never climbed one of the most incredible attractions in the world, then now is the PERFECT time.

Many of our kids had to go through the disappointment of cancelled birthday parties and abandoned holidays during the COVID-19 crisis. But a thrilling family climb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge would be the most memorable way to make up for any letdowns.

BridgeClimb Unlocked Offer Amazing School Holiday Specials

BridgeClimb Sydney is offering amazing Winter school holidays discounts so don’t miss out on this opportunity to get the most spectacular view of Sydney from the best vantage point around. Plus your kids won’t stop talking about their adventure.

Children can now climb for only $99, with adult rates priced at only $198 – that’s over 35% off adults, and over 50% off standard kids, day climb prices.

The Best Family Bonding Thrill

BridgeClimb Sydney is the most memorable family bonding experience. My eight year old loved every minute of the climb and she tackled the experience like a pro. I was concerned that the 3.5 hour summit climb would be too much but at no point did she complain – in fact if she could, she would have danced the whole way over the arches.

The experience is open to kids aged 8 years old and above (and 120cm+) and as long as your kids are able to climb a ladder, they can tackle BridgeClimb. Our guide told us that generally, the adults are more nervous than the children so age is definitely not a reflection of ability when it comes to scaling the majestic harbour structure.

COVID-Safe

Strict safety measures (as well as COVID-safe precautions) are in place from the very beginning of the BridgeClimb adventure and you get equipped with a special overall, harness, beanie, cap (which you can keep) as well as headphones to hear your guide.

Each climbing group is small, with a maximum of 14 people, so it’s easy to social distance and there is ample opportunity to sanitise along the way. To be honest, the last thing on my mind was germs, as I steeled my nerves to climb the vertical ladders up to the start of the climb. You’re hooked up to the rail the whole time so falling isn’t an option, but for people like me, who don’t love heights, it’s certainly a bit of a mind challenge. Seeing my daughter scurry up the rungs like a monkey did give me a bit more confidence and I made it to the top, exhilarated!

Mesmerising!

The actual walk up the arch is not difficult at all and we had ample time to stop and take in the most mesmerising view. It’s almost impossible to comprehend how close you are to the clouds and the world is quiet and peaceful, except for a ferry hooter or a train passing below.

The guide keeps you amused with stories of the history of the bridge and the colourful characters involved in building this enormous structure. Did you know there are over 6-million rivets, hammered by hand into the bridge. Mind-blowing! And now you get to walk on them!

At The Top Of The World

Reaching the summit, our group exploded in excitable applause and whoops. We made it! My daughter’s grin was enormous as the guide snapped our pics.

And then we slowly made our way down the opposite arch, seeing the city from a whole new angle and tackled the ladders back down to the bottom. That was my most hair-raising part but if you just take it step-by-step, you get there eventually. My daughter, on the other hand, wasn’t fazed one bit!

Take advantage of this super-special offer and book now for the school holidays. At these prices, tickets will be snapped up quickly so get yours before they sell out.

Pick Your Climb

BridgeClimb Unlocked is now available to purchase on Summit and Summit Express climb routes departing between 10am – 3pm every day during the NSW public school holidays, and on Saturdays and Sundays until 19 December 2020.

The Summit Climb (allow 3.5 hours) ascends on the upper arch of the Bridge, suiting adventurers who want to feel like they are beneath the clouds and families with kids who are confident scaling ladders to reach the top.

The Summit Express Climb (allow 2.5 hours) follows the Bridge’s lower arch to reach the top. This route suits those who are architecturally-curious about the old gal and want to feel they are in the belly of the steel structure. There are fewer stops along the route and no ladders but still the same magnificent view at the top.

  • I’ll just experience through other people’s experiences thank you. I’d never make it as by the time I reach the third rung on a ladder I freeze. Terrified of heights since I came off a swing when I was 6.
