While we’re all in the midst of a gardening frenzy with the Woolworths Discovery Garden Campaign, Bunnings is quietly getting into the kid’s planting craze.

The hardware giant has launched its own version of Discovery Garden – called the Little Seed Collection. It’s made up of 15 seedling collectables, but what sets them apart from Woolies, is that the Bunnings gardening pots are FREE!

To complete a full Discovery Garden tray, with 24 collectables, shoppers have to spend at least $720 on their Woolworths shopping (that’s $30 worth of groceries for one collectable) and that’s not counting the duplicates that we inevitable pick up along the way.

How To Get Your My Little Seed Garden Collectables

Bunnings is now bursting into the ‘green’ scene with a highly tempting offer:

Simply enroll your kids into the free school holiday activities at participating Bunnings Warehouses and kids will be offered the ‘My Little Seed Garden’ collectables as part of the workshop. What a win!

The Bunnings stores are running the FREE sustainability workshops on 1 and 3 October and will include one Mr Fothergills seed pod for each child enrolled, while stock lasts.

Activities will vary from store to store and will range from decorating pots to creating mini worm farms.

It’s a good idea though to check your local Bunnings to confirm that they are running the activities and whether they have the gardening kits in stock, as there may be only select stores that have availability.

Our local Bunnings is running some awesome holiday workshops for FREE – including slime making, sand art, stationery craft and more.

Bunnings have now confirmed that each child enrolled into the workshop will receive one seedling pot each after the workshop.

As reported in New Idea food, one excited Queensland mum shared a pic of these collectables saying:

“We did the kids workshop. They made cheese boards. They gave a box (of Little Seed) to every kid.”

  • It’s a wonderful idea from Bunnings l missed it l personally think that schools should have a gardening class to teach our children how to grow there own veggies & herb’s . My daughter loves gardening the look on her face when she grew her first carrot was Priceless . Our children need to know where our veggies come from just not the supermarket
