I dream about cinnamon scrolls….gorgeous sticky buns sprinkled generously with cinnamon and dressed in a silky smooth glaze. So I literally did a happy dance when I heard that the famous US bakery chain Cinnabon will be landing in Australia very soon.
Cinnabon was born in Seattle in 1985, created by a father-and-son duo who experimented for years to find sweet, cinnamon-spiced perfection. And now those gorgeous treats will be baking at a location close to you.
Bansal Foods, a family-run Queensland-based company, has got the local rights to Cinnabon and has plans to open its first stores this year. The same company brought burger outlet Carl’s Jr to Australia and has already opened 17 restaurants throughout the country.
Brisbane Is The Lucky First Location
The grand plan is to open the first two Cinnabon outlets in southeast Queensland this year — one in September and one in October. Another store will follow shortly after in Sydney and more bakeries are set to open in 2021. The good news is that there could be many as 50 Cinnabon stores across Australia over the next three years.
We love that the bakery prides itself on its freshness and the fresh buns are baked regularly throughout the day.
We can’t wait to try all of Cinnabon’s treats, including their signature Classic roll topped with waves of smooth, Ooey-Gooey™ topping of Cinnabon® cream cheese frosting.
