Hello!

There is no such thing as too much cake mix! If you love buying mega-sized products, you’re going to love Coles’ bulk value pack groceries. Even better, they’re on special so you can pick up these massive items for less.

Our time in home quarantine made a little bit of a hoarder out of all of us – as we were forced to stockpile toilet paper and live on scraps of flour, yeast and cleaning products. Things are pretty much back to normal now but there will always be a part of me that will be worried I’ll run out of household staples.

Coles is offering a range of popular bulk products at special prices so now is a great time to stock up. The sale is on only until stocks last so get their quick with an empty trolley.

Buy In Bulk Value

The supermarket is offering over 30 bulk value products with savings of up to 38 per cent.

One of the most popular bulk value items is a 2.3kg bucket of Green’s Chocolate cake mix for just $12. The mega bucket holds enough for 7 cakes – so that’s only $1.70 per cake.

The Coles ‘Big Pack Value’ sale also includes 3kg of Barilla Penne pasta for $9. This is great value given that 500g is usually sold for around $2.40.

For BIG breakfasts, grab a 950g carton of Caticorn Froot Loops for $8.25 or a 1.2kg of Nutrigrain Gold for $11.

For lots of easy lazy dinners, pick up 4.2kg of Rodolfi tomato pasta for only 8 bucks and add a bit of fire with one kilo of Sun Harvest jalapenos for $5.

If you’re planning on a post-COVID celebration, you’re going to want these 600 Dollar Sweets cupcake holders for $12, as well as one kilo bags of The Natural Confectionery Co. lollies for $8.50.

For tea and coffee drinkers, there is a pack of 40 L’OR Espresso Capsules Ristretto coffee pods for $18 and 300 Dilmah Premium Tea Bags for $10.

Other bulk bargains include:

  • 2.5kg bag of Market Lane red lentils or pearl barley for $8
  • 6 pack of Ottogi Jin Ramen Mild cup noodles for $6
  • 1kg pouch of Hart & Soul Chicken & Corn Pouch Soup for $7

“We recognise that the COVID-19 situation means value is top of mind for many of our customers. Offering pantry staples, condiments and sweet treats in bulk is one way that we can help customers save on their weekly shop,” Coles Group CEO Steven Cain said.

  • Only if it is something we use frequently and it’s not something that we risk over indulging in.

  • If it was something I use a lot I would buy it

  • I did notice this in my local Coles last week. There’s only 3 of us, so I really don’t need these items in bulk.

  • I don’t have a Coles nearby but some of these items would be handy. I love the idea of bulk buys if they are needed and not wasted.

  • I don’t like any of these bulk items. 2,3kg of chocolate cake mix ? I never buy cake mix in the first place, I never would even when it costs 50 cents, lol ! Some of these things aren’t even practical. How to store 4.2kg tomasto paste once open; is your fridge large enough (mine isn’t). 3kg of penne pasta ? I never buy penne pasta. I buy buckwheat pasta or chickpea or lentil pasta as 2 of mine are on glutenfree one on diary free. 950g Frootloops ? First of all by the time you’re at the bottom of the box it isn’t fresh anymore, but mostly this is not a breakfast I would feed my children and besides that 2 of mine are glutenfree so I prefer to buy or make glutenfree.
Soup out of a pouch ? make your own soup, it’s far nicer.
