Winners for this competition

  1. A. Masters - NSW
  • Oi Lemur! because my son is obsessed with lemurs and there isn’t many books around that have a lemur as the main character

  • A goat, as they can climb into precarious places without any fear.

  • A fox because they are my favorite animals

  • Manatees or sea cows because I’ve only just learnt what they are and they are the coolest animals!

  • Oi sloth, The rhyming would be so funny, it’s even fun to read as an adult, also perfect for nearly-reading kids as lots of words they can easily read.

  • I think you should have an OI Devil ( Tasmanian Devil) in the next OI book, because they are cute, interesting and my son loves them. Plus I think they need some fun attention.

  • A mouse would be great… We have mice living with our guinea pigs… They are so cute. The way they scramble around the yard picking up a little piece of grain and then running to hide it.. Very funny!

  • I think an echidna because platypus and echidna are both monotremes

  • Wombat! So cute, so cuddly, such a hard butt. These animals are so unique and wonderful to learn about for all ages.

  • Penguins or dolphins because they are cool

  • I would choose a sloth, that’s as simple as can be.
My favourite is a sloth, because a sloth is just like me.
I’d love to be more sloth-like and sleep away the day,
But I have 3 kids, so I’ve kissed my sleep away.

  • A dolphin, if you have seen them frolicking in the water like I have you know they will make a great addition of silly antics to the Oi series.

  • a platypus as they seem to get not much publicity and they are an amazing animal

  • An Elephant as they are highly intellig”oi”ent.

  • I think an introduction to one of our national emblems the Kangaroo. Oi Kangaroo, hopping across the plain, with pride in your bounce and that Australian spirit in your veins….etc, etc, etc.
