Kiwi soprano songstress extraordinaire Hayley Westenra, who holds the distinct honour of having the fastest selling debut classical crossover album of all time, has created a collection of lullabies for the Royal Baby.. Hushabye.

Hushabye is a collection of favourites such as Twinkle Twinkle and Hushabye Mountain alongside timeless classics that reach beyond the realm of lullabies, like Dream A Little Dream Of Me and All Through The Night as well as Sleep On, a lullaby written for the Royal Baby by composer Paul Mealor, who was personally chosen by Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to compose a piece for their wedding in 2011.

Hayley has dedicated Hushabye to all new parents and babies the world over, and to celebrate the Royal Baby has decided to give a free copy of Hushabye to every child born in Australia on the same day as the Royal Baby.

  • It’s not a lullaby but we sing it to have a laugh…
You sing a nursery rhyme and at the end you add for example:
Jack and Gill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown and…
They threw him out the window the window the second story window
With a heave and a hoe and a great big throw
They threw him out the window…
    Then the next rhyme continues.
    My Kiddies love it!
