  • My youngest son learning how to manipulate and twist around his finger his daddy. Learning the true meaning of golden haired child.

  • Watching him learn how to hold and shake a rattle is my favourite memory – the fun from one small toy was huge, as were the adorable baby smiles and giggles!

  • My 8 month old twins right now are learning to crawl. It’s very exciting and scary at the same time. Isabelle is quite good at it and Emilia tries to copy sis and doesn’t get very far. It’s quite entertaining.

  • My daughter saying her first full word at 18 months, she was diagnosed with hearing loss as a baby until she had her first operation, then nothing stopped her from there. new words and sentences all the time, fabulous feeling.

  • Those early memories, shrouded in the haze of sleeplessness when EVERYTHING was new for both babe and me. .. that snuggle into my shoulder, first smile.. so many milestones to celebrate.

  • Riding my big bike without training wheels. I remember being rubbish and practising on a quiet road but very soon bashing into things and falling off and feeling bruised!

  • I can clearly remember the day that my eldest son started to roll over by himself. We were so proud of him and amazed at how quickly babies pick things up!

  • My little one said “da da” for the first few months he started to speak then unexpectedly said “ma” when I was feeding him – made my year!

  • When my little boy learnt to say “mum”- it was an absolute highlight for me!

  • My baby born at 27 weeks took 5 days to learn to open his eyes. That moment he first opened his eyes and looked into mine will forever be imprinted on my heart. I was in tears. A special first that in full term babies is often taken for granted.

  • Tie his own shoe laces was a major achievement, somehow seemed difficult and so there was much joy over success

  • My son is only 11 weeks old so I don’t have a lot to choose from but I would have to say seeing his first real smile was just amazing!!

  • I remember the moment when my daughter recognised herself in the
    Mirror.

  • Him leaning to build blocks on top of one another

  • I’ll always remember my son discovering where eggs came from and how they were laid. It remained a topic of conversation with endless questions and countless times we sat and watched the chooks to see if we could observe the egg laying!!
