  • Some people love the snow,
That falls this time of year.
    Some love the carols,
So sweet they sound to the ear.

    Many love the tree.
And the tradition of putting it up.
    Some love the food,
Or the egg nog drunk by the cup.

    But I love the smiles,
That are created by Christmas Day.
I love the joy Xmas brings…
It’s so magical, as they say!

  • My favourite Christmas tradition is sharing a delicious meal with my loving family, priceless.

  • Laying on the trampoline on Christmas Eve night and trying to spot Santa flying through the night sky!

  • Baking shortbread from my grandma\’s recipe on the first day of December… it fills the house with the smell of Christmas and gives us a tasty treat for when we\’ve finished decorating the tree!

  • I buy 25 children’s books from op shops. I wrap them in recycled paper and lay them under the tree. My son opens one each night to read before bed. It’s a great way to capture Christmas spirit. This year it cost me a whole $3; very sustainable!

  • Spending Christmas Day with my extended Family, eating and drinking way too much.

  • Our favourite tradition is a tradition of each year to do something different. This year we relaxed in apart in Melbourne, being a single mum and three children there is little expense involve yet a lot of love and effort of natural fun. Last year was the beach Palm Cove Cairns..

  • My favourite Christmas tradition is putting up the Christmas tree with my kids pre school Xmas craft ornaments they made for it on it. By the way my kids are now 15 and 18 very sad!

  • We only talked today about how special it was as a child and now my child being able to do this and that is have lollies or chocolate before breakfast. What ever treat was at the bottom of your stocking was allowed to be eaten.

  • Taking my kids to see Christmas lights around the local neighbourhood. I love seeing their eyes light up with amazement!!

  • Christmas baking! As fun as it sounds, with all the little ones helping decorate their Christmas cookies and cupcakes with frostings, chocolate and colourful sprinkles, you can imagine it gets really messy!

  • Putting up the Christmas tree!

  • Making and then eating trifle, its the only time of year we eat it and I make sure I have enough to last me all year!

  • Decorating the house together and baking sweet treats to give as gifts

  • Favourite Christmas tradition, in Bakulic household is, bizarrely, working until later in the evening; and then staying up later with very few, special people, and animals very close to us. Bless!!!
