  • The Meerkats. When my eldest was younger, I used to call him “my little meerkat”, because he wears cochlear implants, and on hearing an unfamiliar sound he’d pop his head up and swivel it around just like a meerkat to locate the source. They remind me how cute he was.

  • The gorillas. They are so fascinating to watch with such human-like (or do we have gorilla-like?) features and personalities! I could sit and watch them for hours!

  • Love the seals and the seal show, it is so mesmerising watching them glide through the water and the underwater viewing at taronga is awesome. Such cute and clever creatures.

  • It is the lion, no doubt as it is the king of the jungle!

  • Could watch the MONKEYS’ antics all day
Always have a little giggle as I recognise my children’s shenanigans when they play!

  • definitely the giraffes because i love watching them eat and the babies one play with each other watching them communicate ! the way they look at you is amazingthey are beautiful animals

  • I absolutely love observing the Eagles up close. They are graceful, beautiful and deadly when in search of food. Much like myself – I am stylish, not bad on the eye and always hungry.

  • My favorite animal in Taronga Zoo is the Elephant because years ago we visited Kruger Park and wanted to get a picture of a elephant however it charged us so we left quickly and now I would prefer to be in a safe to place to photograph them at Taronga Park

  • The penguin – they are cute, mate for life and look really elegant all the time

  • PENGUINS fascinate us! They are so attractive and a bit like us. They stand upright, walk on their legs a bit like us, they look like they’ve got a better sense of dress, of course. Like my kids they are never still. We could spend hours watching them at Taronga.

  • We love the handsome, MAGESTIC tiger, our planet’s biggest wildcat. We love that he is a strong swimmer, who can pad quietly wherever he treads., yet fiercely protective of cubs. Hunting and habitat destruction has driven them to near extinction and this makes us all sad.

  • My stepdaughters favourite is the panda, so thats what we are dying to visit. She has panda everything and its one of the clearest words she can say at the moment because she loves them so much. Seeing one in the flesh would blow her mind!

  • Wont be lion to you, its the King of Beasts with magnificent mane and great big roar, can ever icnore those big scary claws

  • We always love watching the Giraffe because they are so large and peaceful.

  • Kings of the jungle and carnivores,
Stunning manes and black leathery paws,
Love the lions and their African Savannah Den
Visiting Taronga Zoo, just tell us when?
