Danish comedian receives abuse for posting a picture on social media of him and his toddler daughter taking a bath together.

Chris posted the picture—which shows him naked (his private parts are covered in the shot) in the tub playing with his 2-year-old daughter—to Facebook, where it quickly started going viral.

“Listen: It’s OK for children and adults to be naked together,” he wrote. “If we could not bear to see each other naked, we would have been born with clothes on.”

“There is nothing wrong with a dad washing his daughter’s butt and private parts while she is a child,” Chris said in his post. “Rather, it is very disgusting if nobody does it, and unfair if only the mother does. Nudity with your child is not disgusting, it’s natural.”

  • Its rather sad to me that someone would look at that image in think dark thoughts. It is a difficult one though I guess because sadly not all children are living in loving homes that are free from abuse so I do understand that their are people out their with scars from childhood trauma.
Sometimes I do think that photos like these are perhaps best kept for the family album and not plastered all over the net as they can be triggers for those with emotional scars.

  • This is an innocent photo of a father and daughter having a bath. It’s great to see a loving father connecting with his daughter.
It’s other ppl making it into something that’s it’s not.

  • Wish my kids father had bathed the kids rather than walking around naked in front of them. Would have been helpful.

  • It is only a little toddler bathing with her parent, get a grip!

  • Totally normal in my opinion.
That he received abuse on social media is maybe something you could expect. But then, he’s a comedian….I bet he has the ability not to take that too serious and see the ridiculous and funny side of that :)

  • Totally normal for me to be nude in front of my kids, it’s only natural! I want them to love their bodies and not be ashamed of them.
I hate that most people seem to think nudity=sex.

  • Oh Lighten up people!, its a BABY not a teenage girl having a bath with dad. Perfectly normal & naturalfor many families especially in Europe to do this

  • doesn’t bother me, only natural, if he doesn’t mind it being online

  • I agree that nudity within the family is a natural, honest, learning environment but should be kept private within the family, not shared for all the world to see.

  • Not an issue, just a parent and child enjoying a lovely bath together. Wish some people would get off their high politically correct horse and actually LIVE !!

  • I agree that this is an innocent image of a father and a daughter spending valuable time together. We need to accept that the human body is beautiful and nothing to be ashamed of.

  • So not an issue. So what if dad bathes with toddler daughter. I wouldn’t post a photo of myself or husband in the bath on the internet but that has nothing to do with being ashamed of having a bath with our kids when little.

  • He is right. I bathed with both my children and my husband took over when I was unable, due to a back injury, and showered each of them. How much more of a nanny state do we have to become before someone finally has the huts to say, enough is enough? Well, I am saying it… ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

  • Honestly it doesnt matter what we post on the internet people will make a fuss over it.
I dont see anything wrong with a Dad taking a bath with a young toddler of either sex and nor do i have a problems with the Mum taking a bath with a toddler of either sex.
Perhaps the real issues is over sharing. We really dont need to post photos of our every move on the internet but if you choose to then be aware that people will most likely find offence in something you are or are not doing.

  • Nothing wrong with it. It is no different than taking a shower with your child. People are over the top with political correctness these days! I suppose the poor man would have copped abuse if his child was a little boy???????????????
