  • It always annoys me when a woman says dad is babysitting the kids today. He’s the parent not a babysitter

  • Spot on with this article and the gorgeous photos – Dads are Dads and not babysitters and should never ever be called this. Our parenting is a partnership and equal and all jobs and chores and responsibilities are shared. There are no gender or parent specific jobs/roles.

  • Yes my partner is a hands on Dad. Those images and words are just lovely.

  • Loved seeing these photos of Dads being hands on Dads.

  • Nothing I love seeing more. DaDs being DADS.

  • No, my husband wasn’t a hands on dad, but he likes to take the kids out with him now they’re a bit older(which is good for him and the kids).

  • My children missed out on a ‘hands on dad’ but they have been there for their children. It has been so good to see.

  • Nothing more beautiful and sexy than a hands on father (my kids dad) love it. They are such a vital part of a healthy childhood. Bless all those hands on dads.

  • Yes photos are beautiful but I don’t understand the hype… Isn’t that type of interaction a normal thing a father should be doing..

  • I love this, and I agree – people need to stop assuming Dad is a babysitter and not the most important role of parent. It’s a generational thing, I think. My hubby was a very hands on Dad, and still is very much so. We share the parenting.

  • I worked two days this week and everyone kept asking where the kids were, umm at home with their father…

  • I couldn’t agree with this more. I hate that my husband gets commended on doing parental responsibilities that I also do everyday while he is at work. Where is my praise for taking the kids out of the house on my own? Lol for annum it is our responsibility, yet so many praise a dad and say what a good and race dad he is for taking twins out on his own. Errr he is as equal a parent as me. It needs to stop. I fully support this dads insta page (already a long time follower)

  • Lol. The sceptic in me wonders if these dads are quite as impressive when the camera goes away.

  • Won’t part with the best Dad I know of. He dislikes house cleaning but will do any other household chore willingly. Most of the chores are just done. Very rarely need to ask. Definitely a keeper, “not for sale or lease”.

  • Children need to be able to rely on both parents for guidance and support.
