Hello!

Dancing is a massive part of my life, and a massive part of my fitness! During the period I was overweight and depressed, dancing played a huge role in getting me back to being fit and active, and it’s kept me mentally and physically fit for years.

Dancing is a fantastic all-over workout and is also fantastic for improving posture and balance, which is great for stronger bones and reducing your risk of osteoporosis.

Regular dance lessons, whether on your own or in a group, will improve your strength, muscle tone and agility – not to mention aiding weight loss!

There is a style suited for everyone whether your preference is ballroom, salsa, tap, ballet or hip-hop – dancing is a universal language that I truly believe can enjoyed by everyone.

But there are more benefits to dance than getting fit.

I teach people of all ages and stages of life and I often have people telling me how much confidence they get from dancing, especially when they are able to pull off a move or a routine that they have been practicing.

I am also a big believer in the psychological benefits of exercise. I often have people coming in for classes that are battling depression and anxiety and I love seeing the looks on their faces when they are able to let go and just focus on the music.

I’m so proud to have been selected as the ‘Healthy You’ ambassador for Beautiful You Australia. I’ve made a career out of dancing and I can’t wait to share this with the ladies attending the event!

  • I LOVE to dance — I’m not very good at it but it’s so much fun and a great workout! Sadly though, I’m just regulated to dancing around the house but at least I can do it with my gorgeous girls!!

    • Yes, and they get a lot less injuries too. No need for constant time off and sometimes surgery as well.

  • I feel dreadfully self-conscious dancing in front of other people, but if no-one else is home, I love to crank the music up and dance around the house. It’s one of the best things for lifting my mood when I feel like the world is getting on top of me. And it’s free, which is even better.
