diy hanging bat tutorial, riot arts and crafts

Step 1.
Paint your paper roll black.  Push in one side of the top, and then push the opposite inwards to meet it.  This will create two points.

Step 2.
Stick on the googly eyes with glue, and use the thin paintbrush to draw a mouth and fangs.

Step 3.
Draw a pattern, such as a zig zag, over your bat’s tummy with glue and a paintbrush, then sprinkle glitter over that.

Step 4.

Take a rectangle of glitter card and fold in half.   Cut out one bat wing shape out from the centre, and Fold it back out to reveal two even wings.  Glue the middle to the back of your bat.

Step 5.

Turn bat upside down, and fill with small lollies or Halloween treat.  Leave enough space to fold two edges over the top again, as per the top.  Loop a 20cm piece of ribbon underneath, and tie together to hang.

If you would prefer to have a standing bat, then before you start , cover the bottom with a piece of masking tape, paint over everything black, and then fill with treats from the top.
