Jewellery designer, Jemima Moore, has come up with a way to work the Coles Little Shop mini collectables into your wardrobe.

“I got my first Little Shop from my boyfriend’s aunty. Just as a joke, she said ‘and if you get two, you can just make earrings’,” she said.

“And I thought, that’s actually a really good idea.”

A couple of weeks later, Ms Moore from Riverhills, got double ups of the mini noodles and Vegemite and put the plan into action.

“I got my hot glue gun and some earring hooks and just did it,” she said.

Ms Moore posted a photo of her noodle earrings to Facebook and had nearly 500 likes.

“I make earrings from time to time for myself and friends, and I get compliments on them. I use polymer clay and make leaves and bake them in the oven. I’m not really good at it but it’s therapeutic.”

Ms Moore has debuted her new pieces in public, and while not for everyone, they do get noticed.

“I wore them out and did get some interesting looks,” she said.

“It’s so easy, and it’s so much better than having them thrown into landfill. It’s great that people are wanting to do something with them,” she said.

Other cool ideas include fridge magnets, key rings and even bookmarks.

Creative Fridays✌???? So we’ve been getting our creative hats on around the house and turning our left over @coleslittleshop collectables into Magnets for the fridge! With this super easy $6 magnet tape from @kmartaus it’s Sooo easy! The tape is adhesive like normal tape and you just use the cutter on the end to the length you want, then stick it on.. it’s that simple! They look super cute, it’s a fun little activity to do at home and you don’t have to feel bad thinking you’d have to throw them out. _____________________________________________________________ What’s everyone else doing with theirs? #kmart #coleslittleshop #creative #creativefriday #creativedaily #repurpose #reuse #recycle #activities #activitiesforkids #activity #mumlife #motherhoodthroughinstagram #friday #fridaymood #sahmlife #sahm #raisingkids #kidscrafts #mummy #secondhand #magnet #creativity #parenthood #parentlife #parenting #getcreative #motherhoodunplugged #reality #instamum

  • The company name is going to get free advertising so they will be happy. I hope people check regulations before they start making these, especially if they are going to sell them. I’m sure the companies have copyright on their labels and probably the use of them

  • Yes for fridge magnets, but not suitable for earrings, at least I wouldn’t wear it myself, lol
