  • I do like the idea of the reusable straws. I find when I open food in the cupboard and put it into containers, my boys only know how to have a boy-look and therefore ignore or don’t see what’s in the containers. Biscuits, etc. can stay in there for weeks and months. They seem to look for the packets.

  • I’ve been wanting to get reusable straws though don’t know whether to get stainless steel or silicone. Steel ones can be dangerous with younger kids (or clumsy adults).

  • One really good thing about these things is that they will be taken home and not left around littering our parks, waterways or roadways.

  • I live too far away to get to these to try. They’ll probably all be gone by the time I got there anyway

  • I will check them out and see if they are worth it

  • I wonder how well the silicon bags would wear. We use canvas type bags, with Velcro on them already.

  • Think I might have to go to Aldi. Like the food saver ones, to cover onions or avos etc.

  • Great idea unfortunately, Aldi won’t be coming to Tasmania in the foreseable future.

  • Yes, these look really practical and helpful.

  • I have found that Silicone products do not hold their shape firmly if they get really hot. For that reason I consider they are a safety risk. Good quality plastic containers will last 40 + years (when I was working and for some time afterwards) . At work meant one box 5 days a week except during holidays.
