Just a mere two short weeks after having her first baby, Serena Williams has shared a snap of her post baby body.
Baby, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, was only born on the 1st of September, so the 35 year old tennis star could certainly be forgiven for not worrying about a little bump, yet the new mum has proudly flaunted her post baby body on Snapchat!
Pictured standing in front of a mirror in her denim cut off shorts, a black bodysuit and white knit top.
“Back in my jean shorts 2 weeks …” she captioned the selfie.
WOAH! I know she has always been pretty fit and I also know it does fall back to an individuals own body shape and fitness etc, but is this putting pressure on other new mums to bounce back quick?
While some fans point out she is an athlete after all and it is quite normal PLUS she should have a right to feel proud of her achievement so far, others don’t agree…
One comment pointed out, “I feel bad for any professional athlete/Hollywood actress who feels they have to “bounce” back right away. Give them a chance to recover, a chance to bond with their baby. The pressure put on women to get back to “pre-baby” form is ridiculous!!!”
Another said “What’s up with some women who can’t wait to give birth in order to lose baby fat…what’s this obsession with our bodies? Nothing lasts forever!”
“For goodness sack when are these women going to realise it’s not a competition.”

Earlier this year Pink had something to say about the crazy expectations mums face about losing the baby weight – She shared that she is proud to be a “normal” mum and that she hasn’t rushed back into weightloss before the six week mark post baby Jameson.
Actress Anne Hathaway also reminded mums “There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”
A couple of months back people were outraged over a Sunrise hosts offensive remarks about Amal Clooney’s post-baby body.
Sunrise co-hosts, Samantha Armytage, joked about Amal’s weight loss just hours after the birth of her twins. Poor taste!
One fed up mum shared an image showing “This is a normal postpartum body”.
She explained that ‘We give up our bodies to create our children, our bodies change and gain perfect imperfections that we should be celebrating, not shaming.’
Saying, ‘We see pictures of fitness models snapping back from a pregnancy. But how many of us are fitness models?
‘It makes women think our bodies are not okay or not normal when they are.”
Do you think women feel shame when they see new mums like Serena bounce back so fast?
