  • I love living in WA – it has the most amazing beaches and landscapes. I try to take a mini holiday away a few times a year to try and experience what WA has to offer.

  • The best time to see the wildflowers is probably October (that’s we went and were told they were at their best) We saw some in a National Park near Geraldton whilst on a coach tour. You could see them right into the far distance. We also went to Albany south of Perth and stayed in a Motel on the main road. I wish I could remember its name. The Manager came on the coach to welcome us and asked if there was anything in particular we would like for dinner. He didn’t have any, but true to his word we had some for dinner the next night. Bear in mind their food all comes by road transport.
We went on a morning tour on the coach then had 1/2 day leisure time while to coach was put in for a service. We were dropped off in the main area of Albany. We were told that if we caught the school bus back we would see around other parts of the town. They run several buses from near the school and they aren’t marked school bus. The children are taken right to their door so were pretty much saw all of the town including just out past the speed limit signs. The driver was very good and pointed a few things out for the benefit of those he knew were tourists. We wore Coach Tour badges as ID which was handy if anybody had an accident or was sick. They let us off right at the Motel entrance. The gardens in Kings Park in Perth are spectacular too. The paths in it are wheelchair friendly.
