Hello!

Looking for recommendations for a top loader washing machine. I have a front loader at the moment – the door has fallen off! Plus I dont wish to buy another front loader as you cant add things once the cycle has started

  • Fisher and Paykel is a great brand.

  • Anything except a Samsung, so dangerous!
I have a Daewoo front loader, and I absolutely love it!

  • Were looking at the moment too, were thinking of going an ASKO or BOSH…..

  • I’ve got a big Simpson brand washing machine that has the least amount of buttons. We figure that leaves less to go wrong with it :)

  • Check out the CHOICE website for unbiased reviews on washing machines. If you buy a subscription also it allows you more access to the tests they have run. I always check their website before purchasing any big ticket items like these.

  • I love my Fisher & Paykel. Mum has a Simpson that is excellent.

  • I love my L.G. it does everything I want it to and is very quiet so I can even wash at night without disturbing everyone!

  • After using a LG when on holidays I said that when my machine packs it in I would get an LG …IT WAS GREAT.

  • Fisher & Paykel for sure they are great machines and they have the direct drive motor in them :)

  • Simpson is a good reliable brand! mine lasted 15 years with care! Fisher and Paekel are good too I have had my present washing machine [f &p] for 13 years and it is stllgoing strong

  • I have a simpson, love it. its the ezy set one and never had a problem with anything. Found alot of people have problems with fisher and pykell.

  • Fisher & Paykel has been a reliable machine for me. It washes well, spins well & you can choose the water level to wash.

  • I love my Samsung washing machine the one without the pole inside very quick and easy to use as well.

  • We have a fisher & paykel and I love it. One of the main reasons we bought it was that it has the fastest spin speed of all the brands we looked at and it is very economical on the water bill as it uses much less water than most. Hope this helps.

  • Love my LG top loader would never buy a front loader again.

  • I got a F & P washer that is a top loader but is so economical with its water use that when the QLD government were trying to save water and they were giving people rebates for replacing their old washing machines with new water efficient ones….we got a rebate for the purchase of this machine.
Its brilliant and we have never had an issue with it.
The lid locks when the machine is in use so that children cant get into it but if you want to open for some reason then you hit the pause button …if you pause it and dont restart after a set period of time it starts to drain as a safe guard.

  • I have a Samsung 8KG Diamond Drum washing machine. It doesn’t have that annoying pole thing in the middle. It’s awesome, have had it 2 years and it’s given me a great wash every time :) It’s not very noisy either

  • I’ve always found Simpson to be good but I have been using my Fisher & Paykel one for ages and found it to be great. I’m not fond on the water sensors for the reasons below and I don’t like the machines with the plastic bit in the middle as it makes it sooo hard to wash my doonas.

  • Fisher and Paykel I have 8.5 litre and I love it.

  • all I can say is watch out for water sensors instead of being able to self adjust your water level as mine has this and it only ever puts in a third of the machine of water and I have a 10.5 kg machine but there is no way you can wash a queen size comforter in that amount of water. I hate with a passion this stupid water sensor
