George Clooney and his gorgeous fiance Amal Alamuddin have set a wedding date.

The couple attended Celebrity Fight Night in Florence on Monday, with the notoriously private Clooney sharing details of their impending nuptials.

Speaking on the red carpet, the actor and director revealed “I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I’ll be marrying, in a couple of weeks in Venice, of all places.”

The couple became engaged earlier this year, with Clooney gushing “I’m marrying up.”

While Clooney and his groomsmen are set to be dressed by Giorgio Armani, it has been widely speculated that Amal will walk down the aisle wearing a dress by Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen, the designer responsible for the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding gown. The international human rights lawyer and her mother Baria were seen leaving the fashion house’s London headquarters last week.

This will be the first marriage for Amal and the second for Clooney, who was previously married to actress Talia Balsam.

Sending all our good wishes to George and Amal for their impending nuptials.
