Coles has revealed there’s still 700 mini Red Hands up for grabs.

The popular mini collectables promotion finally wraps up at the end of the month.

The “Red Hand”, inspired by the supermarket’s famous “Down, Down” commercial has an added bonus for customers who are lucky enough to claim one, they also come with the chance to win a $100 gift card to spend in store.

The company confirmed 1000 were released when the campaign launched last month, and a new ad has revealed there are still 700 left.

The promotion ends on the 28th August, so keep hunting!

  • Had not heard of anyone who found one.

  • I didn’t manage to collect many Little Shops at all, but I don’t know anyone who got a lucky hand

  • I didn’t know they existed. Are they in separate packets or in with other items??

  • My guess after an incident at Coles the other day at the check out it that Coles staff have them all.
    Why do I say this?
Just the other day as I am paying for my food shopping, the checkout assistant calls over another staff member as they walk past. She then proceeds to hand the other staff member a packaged mini and tell the other staff member, “its Nutella for you, so-and-so found it and we kept it for you”.
I am standing there thinking, “well I don’t have Nutella yet either, where’s my specially put aside one?!”
So my firm belief is that the special Red Hands are all in the hands of Coles staff who either will keep them for themselves or give to friends or family.

    • I agree. I am sure they have all been ‘felt’ by the staff and put aside for themselves or their families or friends.

  • No red hands here, and I don’t know of anyone yet in my circle that has found one either.

  • No red hands here – but have happily been sharing these little minis with people that are collecting them.

  • No but the chances of getting one, considering how many people are collecting them, is quite low.

  • We’ve had no red hands but every little shop is perceived as a lovely wee gift by my kids and that’s enough for me.

  • I find this ‘interesting’ to say the least from Coles. They said 1000 were released & this promotion has been going for over a month & it’s due to end in 2 weeks. How can 700 still be ‘out there to win’? Considering all I’ve read about how nuts people are going over these minis and collecting so many – how can only 300 have been found by now? If in fact they have been? Something seems suss about 700 still apparently being available now. I’ve been getting them for my kids, but only doing the usual groceries. Wasn’t going to fall into the trap of buying things I didn’t need just to ‘earn’ another bag. Even doing that I’ve got about 10 and that includes 2 doubles. I was also thinking that I’ve seen many people ahead of me at the checkout being handed their bags, feeling the outside & asking the cashier for a different one – assuming they can feel what’s in there and may already have that one. If people are doing this and these red hands are in the package, then it’d be very easy to feel if no toy in bag. Wonder if this is suss too?
I’m sure Coles have made so much money off this promotion and people spending more to collect more. I think either Coles have been holding onto these red hands and may release them close to the end of the promotion. But chances of finding one…..Buckley’s I’d say!

  • They are probably sitting unopened and thrown in someone’s junk draw!

  • No red hand but I can’t even get some of the minis so didn’t expect to get it.

  • No red hand for me yet. It would be lovely to get it, but I guess the chances are almost zero!
