Sporting a wide grin and looking very relaxed, the Nashville star was simply stunning in a full-length peach coloured gown at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.

Hayden shared with Entertainment Tonight attending the awards that she was shocked by the positive feedback she has received since going public with her postnatal depression diagnosis.

“I’ve gotten an incredible amount of support and I was actually really surprised because I feel like I grew up in this industry that, in my mind, was very judgmental,” she said in the interview.  “It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”

The 26-year-old star is engaged to Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko and the pair welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kaya, in December 2014.

Hayden voluntarily entered a treatment facility in October to assist in treating her post-natal depression.

Nominated for best supporting actress in a drama series at the Awards, Hayden’s appearance comes on the back of an announcement that she would be returning to the Nashville series. She presented at the awards alongside co-star Jonathan Jackson, who was also nominated for his work on the hit ABC series.

  • Good on Hayden for sharing her not uncommon problem. Hopefully many more women struggling with this problem can share and get treatment. When I worked as a psychiatric nurse I’ve seen some very severe cases and dangerous situations due to this problem. So necessary to take it serious !!

  • Good on Hayden for highlighting what is a common problem, that can be addressed and fixed with the right help. The more we talk about it, the more we can normalise it. I’m a sharer, and I’ve suffered PND, as did my husband. But we sought help from our GP and we were soon on our way to recovery.

    • yeah it affects anyone. she has brought awareness to this, which means she has done her job. great soul!

  • i just can’t get over how different she looks now! she looks so grown up and radiant even so it is amazing that she has all this turmoil. it would be hard to seek help especially being a celeb.
