Mum attacked after sharing photo of baby food.

When American country singer, Jana Kramer, uploaded a photo of the baby food she was buying for her then four-month-old daughter, Jolie, people began to attack.

She shared the image with her fans captioned ‘And it begins. #babyfood’.

Within minutes the mummy shamers arrived in force.

And it begins. #babyfood

A post shared by Jana Kramer (@kramergirl) on

“So easy to make your own! Steam and purée pretty much any fruit or veggie. Great way to avoid pesky preservatives!”

“Buy a baby blender” or “She’s only 4 months. Not 6 months.”

Jana however soon told everyone what to do with their so called advice.

She captioned the pic, “I have been very open with pictures of my daughter and our journey because my true fans have been on my journey from day one and I want them to be a part of my new journey now. If you have negative comments about how I parent my child, keep it to yourself!”

Did you feel judged by your choices as a parent?

  • uumm…baby food is designed to be fed to babies….hello.
I see no reason to shame anyone over feeding their baby.

  • Good on her with her response. These faceless cowards have no power or right to give advice on her child.

  • yes well said – I totally agree with what Jolie’s mum has said – if your not the child’s mum, dad, parental carer etc then you don’t get to say what happens to that child. If you don’t like what is being fed, used etc – then keep scrolling or unfollow – you do have the right to unfollow people and move on!

  • Everyone seems to feel like they have the right to share their opinion and shame others – go away.

  • People are so quick to judge and hate on other mums as if they’re perfect parents. Everyone has their own way of doing things and as long as it’s not dangerous or harming the child then keep your opinions to yourself.

  • Good on her! Maybe they were on sale and so she bought a heap. Maybe she uses these jars only when she goes out. Maybe she uses them all the time. Maybe she sends them to child care. Maybe it’s just nobody’s business.

  • Love her response.
But honestly, why criticise her? Why are people out to put others down?
Those who criticise are generally the ones who would definitely not handle it, if it was done to them.

My kids have multiple allergies and I’m constantly judged about what I did wrong to ‘give them so many allergies’ ????‍♀️

  • Why do people feel they have to judge other Mum’s for how they parent their children. I bet if the shoe was on the other foot they wouldn’t like to be judged. If you can’t be nice then just scroll past.

  • Why others feel the need to judge I will never understand, other parents have judged me in the past but I don’t let it bother me

  • A jar can be very convenient, not everyone has the time, skills or joy to make all homemade food.

  • what a load of poo. Not everyone has time to make their own baby food and if you do it’s a nuisance when you go out. Sometimes jars are more convenient. Also when a baby starts eating they eat the tiniest amounts so making your own you end up with a heap you have to freeze into tiny portions. I did make some my own but I had no issue with store bought too- especially when just starting. Oh, and I started at 4mths too with both kids and it didn’t hurt them it actually helped them start gaining weight better. The experts aren’t always right and people need to stop judging!

  • Hate social media at times – good on her for speaking out at these trolls.

  • good on her just because she posted this dose not mean she doesn’t give her child other food or not looked after properly
I do both cook my own food and buy jr food which is a good back up if we are going out as i don’t have to worry about heating the food and also i hate using the baby change room micowaves as they are disgusting as people don’t cover the food and it splatters every where and they don’t clean up after them selves so i find it alot better in that sense

  • Shaming will not help but some good recipes will, I never bought the packaged food, because I wanted fresh wholefood which I believe provides the ultimate nutrition and builds a healthy immune system.

  • Really depends on where you are and how much time you have to make the food. Maybe she was stocking up on daughter’s favourites. I was living in a hotel years ago as had no where else to go. Tinned and bottle food for my oldest was all I could give him. My problem was with heating the food for him as had to put the bottles in hot water. My son was too young to eat from the local cafe as I did nightly.
