Mum who posted videos of her small daughters applying make-up online has received horrible abuse from cruel trolls.

Courtney McCutcheon, 28, allowed her daughters, Molly, five, and June, three to film their own full-face make-up tutorials, after the girls watched their mother create how-to guides, reports Daily Mail.

Courtney, from Missouri, shared the videos on her Instagram account and YouTube channel, and was shocked to receive comments accusing her of ‘child abuse’.

‘I was really shocked to receive such cruel comments,’ said Courtney, who says five-year-old Molly is a ‘talented’ make-up artist.

‘One commented that my daughter was fat and that I should be spending more time teaching her how to eat healthily.

‘Another said that I should die for letting them play with make-up and accused me of child abuse.

‘I was disgusted. I’ve always taught my daughters to love everyone and that it doesn’t matter about hobbies, skin colour or religion- just be you.

‘It saddened me to see that people were commenting without knowing or caring how it would make us feel,’ said the mum-of-two, who started filming her own make-up tutorials in February, and said she has 38,000 supportive followers.

‘The girls were really interested in what I was doing,’ she said.

‘In May, I decided to let Molly and June record their own little make-up videos just for fun.

‘They played around with the make-up and pulled faces at the camera, before I removed it all with coconut oil.’

‘I don’t think there’s any harm in young girls wearing make-up, just as long as they know they are beautiful without it.

‘I won’t be allowing them out of the house with full make-up on until they’re mature young ladies.

‘For now, both of my girls just like to play with it for fun.

‘They have been brought up not to judge others and I can only hope that internet trolls can learn to do the same.’

Why do people continue to be so nasty behind a computer screen? It is NEVER acceptable, no matter how public a post or persons profile. You don’t have a right to be so cruel. Bite your tongue!

  • You have to be so careful what you put on social media and use the “private setting” so “strangers” can’t see it. A lot of kids copy their Mum with makeup.
I know a Mum (now deceased) who had a large old style pram. In those days they had a special harness that baby couldn’t stand up or fall out of the pram. He woke up, found his Mum’s cosmetics purse under the pram mattress. He put lipstick around the inside of the pram where he could reach. I know another small who stood up on tippy toes, reached up and managed to a friend’s lipstick then drew on a wall. He reckoned he was painting. Later he raided his Auntie’s facepowder – there was more on his clothes and the floor than there was on his face, then he told them he smelt sissy.

  • Little girls nearly always want to do what mummy is doing. My four year old daughter is more interested in doing daddy things whereas her twin brother loves using brushes to do his face. I have brought children make up for him to use while at home, so he can pretend to do his make up. He gets it out when either his teen sister or me do ours. My grand daughter 2 plays around with her mum’s brushes and think she is applying something.

  • People these days are just too damn noisy!! I can’t hardly stand social media anymore b/c of this same issue! A Mom trying to enjoy something with her daughters, which by the way “playing with Moms makeup” IS AN AGE OLD THING THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOREVER!!! And leave it to society to condemn her for that! ???? Which also by the way the same little nasty people I’m sure DID THE SAME THING WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG!!! Kudos to the Mom for taking the time to spend with her children, unlike the one’s who are too busy sticking their kids in front of the T.V. so they can jump on FB & stick their noses in other people’s business, judge others & to be honest just act childish, ridiculous and be total ass’s. Now I always let my girls play with my makeup & I’m not about to stop just because some people are idiots & probably just jealous because their daughter’s don’t have the same kind of relationship with THEIR Mom. However if my Mom acted that ridiculous I wouldn’t want to spend any time with her either! NOTE TO ANY MOM’S OUT THERE WHO THINKS THESE VIDEO’S ARE WRONG OR “CHILD ABUSE” GET A LIFE, GET OFF FB & TRY HAVING A FUN MOMMY DAUGHTER DAY!! And stay out of people’s business!! Yeah go SHOCK your kids & try spending some real, quality time with them..smh just so noisy!!! To the Mom out there who posted these videos- DONT STOP one day long after we are gone it will give these girls something to look back on & smile..your an awesome, amazing Mom ❤️ please don’t let other people’s insecurities & jealousy bring you down!! Those girls did a great job too, could teach me a thing or two. And may grow up to be top rated make up artist’s all because Mom took the time to care & teach them while also spending fun time with them!! ????????????‍????‍????????????

  • people are just narrow minded these days and don’t have anything better to do but be a bully. letting a child learn about their faces and putting makeup on is like putting face paint on their faces. if the kid shows interest in makeup then slowly let them learn….my daughter plays with my inlaws and my parents makeup because I don’t wear makeup.. now my daughter has gone through a fade.. she doesn’t play with it anymore, shes more of a tom boy…just let them be.

  • I will never understand what is wrong with some people. What kid hasn’t played with their mum’s makeup at some point? Molly should come be my makeup artist, she’s way better at it than me!
& in what universe does that child even come close to being fat? Forcing a young child to meet the image of being a stick figure is what I’d be more likely to be calling child abuse. People need to stop being so cruel

  • Some people need to get a grip. This isn’t abuse.
