A little boy orphaned after his parents were both killed in a horrific head-on crash in Brisbane, is still waiting for his parents to come home from work.
Sarah Mazi, 33, and Omer Mazi, 41, died after an 18-year-old drove his car onto the wrong side of the road at Moorooka on Sunday night. The teenager was also killed.
Ms Mazi’s brother, Stephen Furlong, said they still don’t know how they are going to tell the two-year-old that his parents aren’t at work.
“We still have to actually tell him that mum and dad aren’t coming home… I don’t know how we are going to tell him,” Ms Mazi’s brother, Stephen Furlong, told 7 News.
Witnesses have told police the teenager was driving erratically at high speed before his vehicle ended up on the wrong side of Ipswich Road about 8pm on Sunday.
Police said the teen hit another vehicle carrying five people, spinning it around, before ploughing into the car carrying the Mazis.
Our thoughts are with this poor little boy. So heartbreaking.
